What is ABA, and how can it help my child or young adult?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior and teaching new skills to drive meaningful change. ABA emphasizes how learning happens- breaking skills into manageable steps and tailoring strategies to fit the individual’s unique needs and goals- rather than what is taught. This flexible approach is guided by both the science of behavior and a deep respect for each person’s individuality.
How often will my child/young adult receive therapy?
The frequency of sessions depends on the individual’s needs and your family’s goals. Some individuals benefit from intensive support, while others thrive with fewer, targeted sessions. We’ll discuss this during the intake process.
Can I use my Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding for your service?
Yes! I am an OAP-approved provider and my services are eligible for funding. Whether you’re accessing funding for direct therapy or parent training, we can help you navigate the process to ensure you get the support you need.
What skills or areas do your services focus on?
Services focus on a wide range of skill areas, including communication, social skills, behavior regulation, self-help and independence, and community participation. I specialize in supporting individuals with complex needs, and I tailor each program to address specific goals that are meaningful to the individual and their family.
